2013-14 Code of Student Conduct

The Flagler County School Board approved the 2013-14 Code of Student Conduct on August 6, 2013.
The Code of Conduct has been rewritten this year to include a division of discipline incidents into four levels. Additionally, this version includes the MTSS process as protocol with students having discipline issues. Staff worked hard to make this edition as clear as possible for parents and students.
Note that on Page 17, profanity in the classroom is addressed. A form is filled out with each offense up to the fourth time; offenses one through three result in phone calls home; offense #4 gets a note/referral sent home.
Level 1 offenses: Parent or guardian will be contacted for a level 1 offense that requires student removal from class.
Motion to approve the revised Code of Student Conduct carried unanimously.
The Flagler County School District Uniform Dress Code Policy has been modified for the 2013-14 school year. Pay special attention to the changes that allow ANY color polo for high school and clarification on outer wear.

Flagler Schools Bell Schedule for 2013-14

The bell schedule has changed for middle school students for next, with starting times 15 minutes earlier. The rest of the schools remain relatively the same.
The new times for middles schools were pushed for approval by the Transportation Department, as they complained od schedules that did not allow enough time between middle and high school pickup times in the afternoon. The schedule as approved, 3-2, with board members Conklin and Dance in dissent.
